June and July have seen some momentum personnel changes at the Database of Religious History, happily all of them tied to very auspicious life events.
Dr. Brenton Sullivan, our original Managing Editor for two years, has accepted a tenure track faculty position at Colgate (congrats Brenton!). Brenton played a huge role in defining the basic outlines of the DRH project, perfecting the religion poll, and managing both technical and contributor issues. He will be sorely missed, but will continue in his role as East Asia Regional Editor, and no doubt also as an informal management advisor.
Dr. Jessica McCutcheon, our primary Managing Editor for the past year as well as Regional Editor, has begun a maternity leave (congrats Jessica and Ben!). Jessica served as the overall project manager while Brenton was on paternity leave, has overseen the technical development of the database with energy and great attention to detail, and has also been an extremely proactive and intellectually rigorous Regional Editor. We wish her the best of luck with her leave, and look forward to welcoming her back in 2016.
Please join me in thanking these three young scholars for their immense contributions to the DRH, congratulating them on their recent life developments, and wishing them the best in the future.
